The Franklin Municipal Utilities, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Services - Water, provides water for about 13,068 residents living in the area of Franklin, Kentucky. Established in 1820, the Franklin Municipal Utilities System is currently obtaining its supply from a surface water source, Drakes Creek.
